Are the gentlemen here with us? Or automotive fans?
The discussed topic causes quite a stir. Of course, we are talking about electric cars and, as in any topic, we have supporters and opponents. We will not decide which party to the dispute is right. Our main goal is to show you solutions that affect the common good. There are many myths about electromobility, but they do not always turn out to be correct.
Proponents of electric cars very often argue that such vehicles are zero-emission. Opponents of electric cars quickly retort that this is the biggest myth – “electric locomotives” generate a lot of carbon dioxide. It must not be forgotten that their production is associated with a greater formation of CO2. In the case of electric cars, this emission is sometimes even twice as high as in the case of internal combustion cars. This is largely due to the production process of the traction battery. Electric car – unlike internal combustion cars – is becoming more and more environmentally friendly over the years. It is estimated that the emission balance becomes beneficial for the environment only after tens of thousands of kilometers traveled. It is impossible to indicate the exact threshold of kilometers. It all depends on the method of producing electricity that is used to charge the battery of an electric car. The greater the share of renewable energy, the faster electric vehicles gain an advantage over combustion engines and become a better choice for the climate.
Okay, but let’s not be deceived, not always such cars are adequate to our needs. Their performance also raises a lot of debate. Therefore, saving the environment and taking care of the climate is not the strongest argument when buying such a car. So what can change the decision at the car dealer? We are in a hurry with the answer – these are concessions, discounts and privileges!
One of them is the ability to move on bus lanes. Ok, you will say that it is nothing special compared to the price of a given vehicle. However, if you live in a large city and travel by car in traffic jams on a daily basis, the vision of using a privileged bus lane becomes attractive.
Free parking! Another argument for those living in a big city. You’ve probably missed a parking space, missed a meeting or an important event. Maybe you even identify with us and got a parking ticket. Finding a parking space is often a big challenge, and the marked empty spaces for electric cars are also tempting!
Costs This is perhaps the most important aspect for any user. We are not only talking about fuel economy issues. The greatest support is provided when buying, because in many countries users not only receive subsidies, but also are exempt from, for example taxes. We are curious about your opinion, do you think it is worth it?
So let’s conclude, we really want to draw your attention to the overall picture. When we look at only one benefit, we don’t see a greater good. Not only do we benefit, but also our planet. We just wanted to tell you a bit about the options that exist. We hope that reading our articles will have an impact on your daily choices, dear reader. We are not talking about drastic sudden changes, such as changing the car. However, think about what you can do for the planet yourself and the next generation! Stay tuned for the next article
